So much for Dejesus

A lot of people wanted David DeJesus to play in the outfield for the twins this year and it appears that wont be happening. He was traded to the A's for 2 pitchers right-hander Viz Marzzaro and left-hander Justin Marks. Time to start over on  a lot of the twins off season posts.

Delmon Young for Greinke?

"There’s certainly a need for a right-handed bat in the outfield," Dayton Moore said. "Maybe two. That’s something we’ll address and weigh all of our options."

Young + Blackburn and one good prospect for Greinke would be awesome.

Can't remember where

But I heard Moore was looking for a future ace in return for Grienke. I think it’ll have to be Gibson or Wimmers or something close to get Grienke. I’m pretty sure he’s staying put in KC this year.

Agreed

As much as it doesn’t make sense because the team is technically getting less I bet the royals keep him until at July to see what kind of offers they get near the deadline. Teams that are in the hunt seem more willing to pay up halfway through a year. Plus I believe Greinke has some weird no-trade clause that is over part way through this season. Not sure where I read that but I’m almost positive I did.

Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?

Here's a link to Royals/Greinke's contract

LINK

He can block only 15 teams this year after being able to block 20 the last two. It seems that during the last year of the contract he can be traded anywhere though. Apparently he’s not interested in playing in the big markets out east, so that’s at least a positive.
