2011 Twinkie Town Top 50...Prospect #16!
With 59 of the 295 votes cast (20%), Kyle Waldrop was selected as the Fifteenth best prospect in this year's Top 50. Deolis Guerra, Billy Bullock and Eddie Rosario were bunched in second through fourth, about twenty votes behind.
Everyone again had more than two per cent, thus we will add only one player to the next round. That player is a young man the Twins recently picked up from the Atlanta Braves in this year's Rule 5 draft, Scott Diamond. Diamond, who is a twenty four year old lefty from Guelph, Ontario, has been a starter throughout his career including last year when he was 8-7 with a 3.46 ERA in the AA Southern and AAA International Leagues.
After selecting six outfielders in our Top Ten, we went with four pitchers in our next group of five with David Bromberg (11), Carlos Gutierrez (12), Adrian Salcedo (13), Chris Parmelee (14), and Kyle Waldrop (15).
Voting for Round Sixteen will be open through 3pm, Tuesday, December 28th.

I think I'd of chose Manship
over Guerra. I just don’t see any upside and his age is not much of a factor any more. Looks like from here on out we’re just picking players that might reach the Big Leagues as a back-up or part-time starter. Anyone think their’s a prospect we’re missing that could be a full-time player?

Bullock could be a pretty good regular bullpen piece
The walks are ugly, but the strikeouts are beautiful and he’s at a pretty high level. Sickels had him 8th.
Tosoni
His injury last year took him off the radar. But if he is healthy he could be at least a platooner.
Also i hope you are wrong about Guerra. I still see him as a #3 starter.

Lots of younger players could become stars...
…Pitchers like Manuel Soliman, Hermsen, Ciurcina, Gonzalez, Watts, Lobanov and Logan Darnell. Fewer position players, but guys like Danny Rams, Brian Dozier, Lance Ray, Beresford, Hidalgo, Rory Rhodes and Polanco could also be regulars someday.
You paint a rosier pitcher then I.
I’m not betting on any of those, except Rams as a RH,DH-C. Lobanov or any LH pitcher, maybe.

I voted Bullock
He has closer upside. Next would be Rosario for me. Then Dean. Then Guerra. Plouffe and Hughes are low 20s.

I've been voting Bullock for a few rounds now
Those strikeout numbers are just too sexy. If he can improve his control I believe he’ll be one of our back of the bullpen guys as early as late 2011 and could be our closer by 2013. The guy is just exciting.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
