Seems like it would be all over everything if he had. Although I believe Christensen reported on MLBTR that the years and money are agreed on…i’m not getting my hopes up until i see it official

that makes no sense

why trade for a guy and then release him? Good pickup for the Twins at probably league minimum if they decide to go that route. Also, a good pinch runner…very speedy.

Sounds like it cost them $1.3M to essentially buy the Reds infield prospect.

Agree on Hudson/Lopez..

..but we could definitely use some speed off the bench and a backup CF. Taveres seems to fit the bill.

Yeah, he would be good on a MFA contract to compete with Pridie in ST

I also like Endy for that. But one more speedy guy like that on the market will make it easier for the Twins to sign someone.

The lost of Tollson is not hugh to the Twins because of the number of middle infielders in the system. The problem I have is that he becomes a net gain of ZERO to the Twins. This is why I question filling the 40man roster. In the past we would start with 38 guys and we had room to move., another move would mean another player off the 40 man roster. Also, In the past we would never place a A-player on the 40man. If this is all I have to complain about we must be Okay. Mr. Smith please stop filling the 40man roster(37 or 38 guys will do) in the off-season.

It's a game

If you don’t fill the roster, someone else will grab a guy as a Rule V. It’s usually easier to get a guy to clear waivers later when the rosters of other teams are full again (after the FA have signed). I think there is usually too much worry about Rule V guys. The player has to stick for a full season in the majors to lose them. Either way, they lost Tolleson here.
