You think I'm above linking it here? Because I'm not. Because I got to talk to our favorite MVP. And then I got to transcribe it, which anyone who's ever done it can tell you is super duper fun. Anyway, read the thing!

Woo!

Nice work. Yet another game to add to the list of things I’ll buy when I get a PS3…

Lucky!

But let me ask about this part:

and I tell everybody that I’ll let you know when or if we come up with something.

When or if? Or if?!

Good interview, though. Interesting that he’s a “wins and losses” guy. Huh.

Yeah that "Or if"

I hope we’re not reading too much into that, but my optimism from Monday is ebbing a little.

he's just being humble

not wanting to assume that the Twins will be willing to make him a bazillionaire and a Twin for life…

wins and losses

It makes sense that a player would be primarily concerned with wins and losses. In the grand scheme of things, that’s what matters.

ha exactly

“wins and losses? what are those?”

there are players (Greinke, for example)

that are interested in the sabermetrics aspect of the game as well as the wins and losses part.

no self respecting player though,

is going to say: “Hey, you know what’s most important? My SLG and OPS.”

because that sentence implies all you care about is yourself. So OF COURSE he’s going to say all that matters is W/L.

I hope there isn’t a MLB The Show curse like Madden Football.

Awesome work man, thanks for sharing!

I can’t WAIT to get this game!

If I agree to review it here on the site can I get a copy?

That's only for football

Evan Longoria is on the cover of the MLB 2k10 game and he broke it down. Baseball players have great seasons the year they’re on the cover of a game.

That is awesome! Congratulations.

He was on SF Chronicle live last night

Up here in N. California I don’t get to see a lot of Twins coverage (I do subscribe to MLB.tv though), but much to my surprise yesterday the San Francisco Chronicle Live Show interviewed Mauer. Still waiting for them to post it on the site (which they normally do), but I’ll provide a link when they do. The biggest thing I noticed though was what appeared to be a bad case of herpes all over Mauer’s lips, I guess it could have been a bloody lip though. So women, if you don’t want that perfect image of Mauer that you conjure up then I would suggest not watching it!

Yeah

I noticed that when he was interviewed on MLB Network. I kept thinking, “Get that extension done so he can buy some Valtrex.”

ha ha ha

Mauer’s days as the kissing bandit are coming back to bite him!

I’m in NoCal as well but missed that. Do they post these segments on SFGate.com?
