Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

It's Curtis Kitchen of 810 AM WHB in Kansas City. Not sure why we'd believe him 100%, since he covers Kansas State for the station, but you may choose to believe or not believe on your own. Will update once someone a bit closer to home confirms.

TIGHT!

I am so pumped I won’t be forced to watch Punto all year!

You Might

It would make sense Punto would get to compete with Harris for the everyday/platoon job.

Though it will be awesome to have only one of them in the lineup on a daily basis.

No, I didn't spell Maurer wrong, Joe did.

i posted this story too.

How do you get it on the front page and not the side?

by bighead306 on Feb 4, 2010 6:24 PM EST reply actions

you have to be

a Senior Writer or Editor. Jesse, Jon, CMath, Randball, and Adam all have the power to post on the front page. They then take our posts, if worthy, and will put them up on the front page.

Thank you

I just though i might get front page since i posted before anyone else but that makes sense

Well, you should

But sometimes we get so excited, we forget to check for other fanshots before we post our own. No offense intended.

Also interesting...

He followed up with a tweet: @Dwade Saw the @washingnats tweets, did some follow-up. Hearing Hudson gave Nats price tag 2x (maybe more) what Twins will pay.

So what did he want from the Nats… 6, 7 or 8 million? I suppose if you’re playing in the cellar it’s going to cost you.

All I can say is this

Hunter

Love the guy but he wasn’t patient and was in it for the dough, and we just completely jumped the Angels!

So jazzed...

Now they just need to confirm it so I can get some work done in the last few hours of my workday…

Buster Olney

Reports that “Hudson is closing in on a $5 million deal with the Twins.”

by Twins Territory on Feb 4, 2010 6:54 PM EST reply actions

He followed with this

cont. from Buster Olney:
So when Hudson’s one-year deal is done — over offers from the Indians and Nationals — the second baseman will be set up nicely, playing on a team for which he fits the clubhouse culture, perhaps hitting in front of Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau.
