Congrats to Gags
He was an instrumental player on the ‘87 and ’91 WS squads and we’ve struggled to replace him ever since. Favorite memory? The deke out of Lonnie Smith he initiated in the ’91 Series that was perhaps the most important play in netting us our second trophy.

Congratulatons Mr Gagne!!!!
Always has been my Favorite Shortstop to ever play with the Twins next to Zolio Versalles.
Hear that sound?
I think it’s someone scraping the bottom of a barrel.
Twins HoF is a pretty low bar if a zero time all-star who never lead the league in anything except caught stealing gets in.
They passed over Pascual, Perry, and Knoblauch to get to Gagne.
+1
I liked Gagne, but I don’t agree he’s a Twin HOF-er either. I mean, in retrospect being a decent SS for eight seasons does have value, but I don’t think you put anyone in some sort of Hall of Fame for that.
Its getting to be like the 60s Packers in Canton Ohio. Extra guys get inducted because we want more ceremonies where we can all relive 1987 and 1991 again, but years later we’ll be scratching our heads on the merits of this choice. We can do it again next year with Randy Bush. No offense to Randy of course… he’s one of my all time favorite Twins. :-)
Amen, brother
I trust you will also be picketing Target Field demanding recognition for Steve Lombardozzi.
