Twins @ Marlins

First pitch is 12:05 in Jupiter today.

Jupiter is on the opposite side of Florida from Fort Myers, and thus is a three-hour bus ride. I don't know if anybody will get the option to skip the trip today, but if they do, they'll probably take it. (Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau are scheduled to miss out with very minor injuries.) Francisco Liriano is scheduled to start.

La Velle has the lineups. No DH, so Liriano (and Brian Duensing and Anthony Slama and Anthony Swarzak after him) will have to bat.

What a life, to get to skip out on the bus rides, because 3 hours is so terrible...

I don't understand why they don't have a DH for all preseason games.

If the Marlins really think it’s important that their pitchers hit, then they don’t have to use it. If, instead, they want to get someone else a couple of extra at bats, they can do that.

the Twins are in the navy blue BP-style jerseys, navy blue hats with red bills, and travel pants. Marlins in black.
