These games are beginning to make me think that it won't be a frozen tundra here forever.
It’s a nice feeling.
RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July
Haha, I was just thinking that this morning.
I was walking into work going…baseball is here…spring is here, really.
a few days ago
I believe it was Monday, it was 70 here in my hometown of Lake Wobegon Winona MN

Twins
sure seem to be giving Jones a lot of opportunities to prove that he belongs on the Twins 25 man roster. Hopefully the next person to be sent down will be Matt Tolbert. I would like to see more of Trevor Plouffe though…how about the Twins start trying him out at 2B? Next year, Plouffe – Hardy – Morneau double play combo could be nice!

Wrong Jones
I’m kind of wishing we were giving Garrett Jones the opportunity instead of Jacque Jones. Who knew Garrett would hit so well in the bigs?
Revere just knock someone out?

Tolbert
0-14!
zippidee do da, zippedee a, my oh my what a wonderful day!
I wonder if Tolbert will be the short man out of a 40 man roster spot after this “great” spring he is having!

Either That
Or the scorer acknowedges that the Twins are playing.
Pavano
mows down the Pirates through 5 IP. I must say that if our starting pitching pitches anything like this during the regular season, it will be one hell of a season!

I am using Gameday so I am about 10 minutes behind.

Ah, well...
you’ll be pleased to find out in a few minutes that he just gave up a two run homer. Pirates lead 3-2.

Surprise!
And another HR given up. 4-2.
RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July
not surprising really
Delwyn Young is a little beast (4th homer of ST); Jeff Clement has some pop in his bat.

inside the park
roller to the wall? This guy is a ground ball pitcher so it couldnt have been hit out of the park…unless perhaps the ball rolled under the LF fence and Jacque couldnt reach it when he belly flopped on the warning track to attempt to get it.

O-Dog
base hit, but once again that bum Mauer grounds into an inning ending DP.

Valencia in for Thome.
Thome went 2-2 today. Nice.

Wow, big fail, Mijares.
Get out the way.
RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July
Hahaha, I can imagine the look on Plouffe's face
with Mijares running at him. “Ahhhh, it’s yours, it’s yours!”
RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July
When I picture Mijares 'running'
It doesn’t involve his legs moving. It’s more of a bowling ball rolling motion.
So yeah, I would have gotten out of the way too.
are you kidding me?
"Don't take life for granted, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us." - Kirby Puckett
No!
Why should we take the Phill’s leftovers. He was released for good reason, he’s not that good. We have guys in the minors that are better.

um ok
non-tendered free agent does not equal released. Furthermore, a guy with a record of 6-2, 3.00 ERA, 25 K, 1 SV, 105 ERA+…Matt Guerrier had a 186 ERA+ last season.

Condry 0 k's in 5 innings
Slama 6 K’s in 3 innings. Send Condrey to Rochester.

Hello?
Condrey is not on the Twins to strike people out! plus, oh 5 innings! Thats a “huge” sample size!
"Don't take life for granted, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us." - Kirby Puckett
He does have an option So if he doesn't improve, he could end up i Rochester
I would give him ’till the end of camp at least though.
"You're thinking too much. Just have fun." -- Bennie "The Jet" Rodriguez in Sandlot
same here
I am sure this is just a phase he is going through. Just trying to do too much and over extending etc…Andy will fix this and Condrey will be back on track.
Furthermore, who has earned the right to take Condrey’s place in the bullpen. We already are short one pitcher (Nathan), which we will replace with Neshek/Slama/etc. so where would we get the other pitcher and is that one more deserving than Condrey?
"Don't take life for granted, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us." - Kirby Puckett
If they acquire someone and Neshek is ready
I could see it. Otherwise, Gardy will want the veteran until he proves he needs help in the regular season. Then he’d go down and work with Bobby Cuellar a la Jesse Crain last year.

Trivia Answer to Jesse's Question?
Jose Majares along with Nick Punto. Honestly I think Jose Majares will be released outright and then return to Minnesota with the White Sox and give up the game winner to Joe Mauer causing Ozzie Gullien to go off the deep end.
Mijares released?
Not so much.

Harris?!
Wtf…way to go.
RonGarde: Target Field is going to be exactly like Progressive Field, except you'll have a chance to die of frostbite in the middle of July
Personally, I think Tolbert should be the one optioned after today's game.
He’s done absolutely nothing this spring.
actually
I think that Tolbert probably will be sent down. He is just given one last chance here today to prove he belongs and he is failing miserably.

From what I have noticed
You usually get to play the day you are sent down. They usually give you one last look before you go.
I refuse to jump on the "+1" bandwagon
but I totally agree.

Red Wings bullpen
I am looking forward to seeing the Rochester bullpen this year. If they have the lead going into the seventh inning, it should be lights out. They should have at least three of Neshak, Slama, Delaney and Burnett.
If Neshek does go to Rochester
Will he be the closer there? He has been before and could prepare him if he needs to take over the closer role later this year.
