He's
Mauer is totally unemotional, and he even joked his mother tells him he has no pulse, but this press conference was the most emotional I’ve ever seen him. You wouldn’t know it if you weren’t also a stoic midwesterner who’s been watching him his whole life, but he actually choked up a little bit, which is the Joe Mauer equivalent of screaming and breaking into tears of joy.
