Cardinals 5, Twins 3

Daniel Descalso won this one in the ninth with a two-out, two-run walkoff homer off of Cole DeVries. Albert Pujols and Ryan Ludwick also homered for St. Louis.

For the Twins, Brendan Harris's two-run triple did the most damage. Brock Peterson, playing first base, also went 3-4, including an RBI double to briefly tie the game in the top of the ninth inning.

Kevin Slowey went five innings for the Twins, giving up three runs (courtesy of Ludwick and Pujols's dingers) on seven hits. He walked no one.

Delmon Young had two singles, but earns the Dud of the Day award for misplaying a ball into a double, another sign that Delmon Young's Comical Left Field Misadventures Tour will continue for another season.

Your stars: 3) Toby Gardenhire (pinch-hit double); 2) Harris; 1) Peterson.
Anti-stars: 3) DeVries; 2) Juan Portes (struck out twice); 1) Young
