Deolis Guerra
Does anyone have any reports on Deolis Guerra so far? After three starts this season he has 0 BB and 12Ks in 18 innings. I guess I am wondering what the velocity on fastball has been like in his starts? The walks have been a huge issue for him in previous seasons and it's great to see 0 in the BB column. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the still young righty.

I'd be interested to see what his velocity has been so far in 2010
But even without knowing that, I think he’ll be a fine major league pitcher by mid-2011….
whether we think he’s a #4 or 5 starter or a middle reliever…………..
Wow Blackburn makes nearly identical money as Baker does now....

Also David Bromberg killed it today at AA
Over three starts he’s given up 2 runs, pitched 18 innings with 17 K, 4 BB’s and only 8 hits.
The best part is his K numbers went from 2 to 6 to 9 in his last start. Hopefully he keeps it up and leads his league for the 3rd time in K’s
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
The rotation at AA
Is the future of this team.
Hopefully they can keep it going.

Not as long as Strasburg's there.
He’s tied for the leage lead with him but has had 6 more innings to do it in. But Strasburg won’t be there long so Bromberg may have a chance!
Will Bromberg be there the entire year?
His peripherals the last few years make me think that maybe he will get promoted to Rochester by the end of the year. And you’re right about Strasburg, he’ll probably be up in the next month so Bromberg can again be the best pitcher in his league.
he has been great the last two years too
And the twins haven’t promoted him mid season.
That said, the pitching in rochester is remarkably bad

Pitchers
I think guerra, gibson, bromberg and Liam Hendriks are 4 names to forsure keep an eye on going forward for the Twins.
Guerra ETA 2011 late in year to early 2012
Gibson ( same as Guerra)
Bromberg ( 2012 probably or possibly earlier)
Hendriks 2013
I mostly agree with that.
The first 3 you listed I would put on an early 2012 ish pace. Deolis’ walks and off and on control worry me some, but I think he’ll be ok. Don’t know too much about Hendricks but I think he has a good fastball 92-94 if i remember right. So that’s a good sign.
I picture Guerra as possibly a 4, Bromberg a 3, and Gibson a 2 (hopefully a 1). I’m unsure about Liam but sounds like we have some solid mid rotation guys coming up the line to take over for Pavano and Blackburn if he faulters (even though he signed a contract).
And don’t forget about Adrian Salcedo. He’s further away but appears he has the capability of being a 1,2 or 3.
Guys like Swarzak and Manship are possible end of rotation/long relief guys in my mind. I like Duensing a bit more right now than either of those two.
^^^ I forgot
Carlos Gutierrez
He’s doing pretty well in AA, after a rough 1st outing.
Known for his mid 90’s sinkerball. He will give up hits, however gets a fair amount of grounders, and could be a good end of the rotation guy.
