I saw the other day that the Braves have decided to retire the number of Tom Glavine. Good for him and good for them. The last time the Twins retired a number was in 1997 for Kirby Puckett. In our history, we've retired the number of 5 players. In addition to Puckett, we've retired the numbers of Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva and Kent Hrbek.
Let's speculate on who we think will be the next Twin to have their number retired.
Joe Mauer-Well, I don't think it's too early to say that this is probably going to happen, heh. It won't happen for 15 years or so though, so, who's got a shot before him.
Brad Radke-Nice career, but not a retired number career.
Tom Kelly-You'd think they would have done it already if they were gonna.
Justin Morneau-Sadly, the last portion of his career will probably be outside MN.
Ron Gardenhire-Yeah, yeah. I'll let others elaborate.
OTHER-(insert your speculation here)
What say you Twinkie Town?
