Wow. Great to read that.
You kind of put him out of your mind during a day in and day out season. It’s great to see pictures and hear him sounding optimistic. I miss the attitude and confidence he (and we) had in him. Shank has been great to have, but we know what he is and what he is not. I hope Nathan’s recovery goes well, and he comes back better than ever.
I also liked the part about pitch count, comparing his pitch load to Tim Hudson’s. It will be interesting to see how TJS impacts a closer, as we have all seen how the recovery usually goes for a starter.
Speaking of which, where the hell did Joe Mays go?
I always loved that one.
Great article.
I have really missed Joe Nathan this season. I was very bummed when I had to work during the game that he has doing commentary on with Dick & Bert.
I wish Joe the best and hope he recovers well. Can’t wait to see him when he comes back!
I wish they would let him/he would want to do commentary more.
It’s nice to see him talk about the game and how he’s doing.
Baseball reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again.-Terence Mann/James Earl Jones in FoD
Maybe once he retires he could join the broadcast crew
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. ~ Terence Mann

Speaking of injuries..
Morneau is out again tonight. Joe C just released the lineups at the Fish Wrap on the West side.
Dang.
I always loved that one.
