Mr. Grit overlooked
While randomly surfing through the baseball blog world I happened upon a article I find to be an atrocity. The article in question sought to find the "grittiest" players in baseball. Now as a twins fan I am witness to such an obscene amount of grit from Nick Punto that sometimes I have to go outside between innings and jump in the neighbors sandbox. However Mr. Grit himself is excluded from the list! Now if I have to put up with watching Nick Punto bat I at least want recognition about his grit! Heads should roll for this oversight. To accurately appreciate the end grit product Punto provides you must understand the process he goes through and the way he does it. To harness the grit you have to be obsessed with it.
Step 1 create the grit
step 2 revel in the grit
step 3 like a moth to a flame be drawn to the grit

His Position
According to the article, Punto not having a specific position, but rather being a starting utility player, hurt him.
Great find on that 3rd pick. I’m actually rather surprised that Gardy let the Twins brass authorize that photo for the website.

the funny thing is that that is not the only picture like that
They’ve caught him like that so many times. There’s one out there where it looks like he’s really getting a handful…

Nick Punto is my hero.

you have made a difference!
Check out the article’s comments now! Punto has been acknowledged by the author as the grittiest of them all!
haha
that is funny shit right there LNP represent! thank you for bringing the comments to my attention I had forsaken said blog in disgust.
I met Mr. Grit himself yesterday at Halla Greens golf course, he was playing in the group in front of the lessons that I was helping with. First things I noticed…so much grittier in person, and not all that small. Between watching him throw in one of the biggest dips I’ve ever seen put in and him munching the ball on the first tee, he only solidified himself as one of my favorite Twins.
He was also a really nice guy to talk to…signed autographs for the kids, posed for pictures, just overall a really cool dude.
