Waaaaaah

Jealous much, Morrissey?

I really hope we can shut up all these Sox fans who think we’ll just get swept out of the playoffs. Just because we’ve benefitted from a weak Central in the past and been outclassed in the playoffs doesn’t mean it’s the same this time around. This team is going to win around 96 games without Joe Nathan and without a legit MVP campaign Morneau for half the season, and have home field in at least the first round, and Morrisey calls them an “OK” squad. There will be no Game 163 to tire the team out and trip up the rotation, no starting two games in Yankee Stadium with Blackburn and a rookie Duensing to start the playoffs. Are these people totally unaware of circumstances changing from year to year? Yes, we kind of choked against Oakland in 2006, when Joe Mauer was 23 and Liriano was shelved in September for upcoming TJ surgery and missed the playoffs. Long time ago, difference circumstances, people. We were a couple breaks from beating the Yankees in ’04 and very close to really pushing them last year.

With you there

If we actually beat the Yankees in the ALDS this year, imagine the double apocalypse transpiring on South Side Sox and Pinstripe Alley. I’d overdose on schadenfreude.

And honestly, this is a very fun and exciting Twins team. How is having a leaky bullpen and missing the playoffs after an overhyped signing of one of the biggest jackasses in baseball more fun?

I’m really sick of hearing the “We have a World Series trophy and you don’t!” argument. It was 5 years ago. Does it really hold any relevance anymore?

Yeah...

Five years ago counts… 19 years ago AND 23 years ago doesn’t?

You want to compare franchises? Fine.

Number of times throwing the World Series and nearly destroying professional baseball in America:

White Sox 1
Twins 0

I guess we’ll let them have that one.

And

ALCS wins bolstered by a chicken-shit fake at-bat:

White Sox : 1
Twins: 0

I guess we’ll never be on their level of….greatness.

Gotta love white sox nation

One blind squirrel finds a nut championship in 94 years and they’re sticking their chests out like they’re the Yankees.

As for Morrissey, maybe he covered the Black Sox scandel or disco demolition night. It does’nt get anymore exciting than that,

Morrisey is considered a joke here in Chicago

so it’s kind of nice to come here and see him bashed. He’s an awful writer and the Sox are a classless organization. He fits with them.

Glad to hear it

As there is no way writing (or opinions) like this can be taken seriously. Makes our season-long ass-whooping of the Sox much more deserved.

sure were not as flashy as the yankees

but at least we get the job done. and that’s all that matters
