That's right folks. Seems the Twins beat the old record, quite handedly too as it would seem. Ya see, back in 1988, the Twins were coming off their second overall World Series Championship, the first in Minnesota. So needless to say, folks were pretty well goosed. Hell, I was fortunate for my Dad to take me to a few games in '87 and '88. Well, back in the old Homer Dome, where the seating was a hair over 55,000, this seemed like a no brainer. Well, enter the 1st year of Target Field, and seating just a hair under 40,000, well, that say's ALOT!!
So, the old record established back in 1988 was 3,030,672. Enter 2010 and the figure now sit's at 3,063,327, and that is still with 4 games left against Toronto to close out the season. Oh, need to also mention the fact of 74 straight sellouts!!
Awesome, very awesome indeed!!
