Dropping down eight spots from last year, our Thirty-First ranked prospect is starting pitcher Tom Stuifbergen. Stuifbergen collected 42 of 200 (21%) votes to beat out Rob Delaney who was second with 32 votes. Seventeen year old shortstop Jorge Polanco was third, three votes behind Delaney.
Everyone collected enough votes to continue to the next round so we will be adding only one player, starting pitcher Miguel Munoz. Munoz tied for the most wins in the Midwest League last year with a 12-7 record. Munoz also led the Snappers with the most innings (131.2) and games started (21). The 21 year old from Venezuela finished his first year with a full-season team with a 4.37 ERA, 1.38 WHIP,121 strikeouts and 48 walks.
Voting for the next round will be open through Noon, CDT, Wednesday, January 19th.
