2011 MN Twins 25 man Roster

As of Today (Tuesday Jan. 18th) these are the players I expect the Twins to break Spring Training with on their 25 man roster. Most of the players can be safely assumed will be on the opening day roster, but a few probably have a bit to prove to ensure their spot. I have also included a small "wish list" of players I would like to see join the team either prior to breaking camp or sometime during the season. Comment, and enjoy.

Starters:

C Joe Mauer

1B Justin Morneau

2B Tsuyoshi Nishioka

3B Danny Valencia

SS Alexi Casilla

LF Delmon Young

CF Denard Span

RF Michael Cuddyer

DH Jim Thome

Bench:

C Drew Butera

OF Jason Kubel

OF Jason Repko

IF Matt Tolbert

Starting Pitchers:

LHP  Francisco Liriano

RHP Carl Pavano

RHP Scott Baker

LHP Brian Duensing

RHP Nick Blackburn

Bullpen:

RHP Kevin Slowey

RHP Jeff Manship

LHP Jose Mijares

LHP Glen Perkins

RHP Pat Neshek

RHP Matt Capps

RHP Joe Nathan

Wish List:

Troy Glaus: I wold love to see the Twins add a right handed power bat to the bench now that they have locked in Thome as the DH. My first choice would have been to not sign Thome but get Vlad Guerreo instead. Since this is no longer looking like a possibility, I would love to see Troy Glaus replace either Jason Repko, or preferably Jeff Manship on this roster. I believe this is highly unlikely because if the Twins lost Repko it would leave only Michael Cuddyer as a possible back up center fielder and that would make for an outfield with no range at all. And the likelihood of Gardy coming out of spring training one bullpen are short is slim to none.

One more solid bullpen arm (at least): Obvious reasons
