Okay, cool!

I wasn’t sure if it was just my Mom and I who called him that or what.

Kinda miss the guy. I know the whole beating up Gardy’s office door thing… but he’s been a good pitcher.

Game on!

I got too emotionally invested in the Tigers game. It’s nice to have a game on where I don’t care about the outcome.

Juicy bratwurst with brown mustard and sauerkraut on a toasted bun

Served with a golden pretzel fresh from the oven.

Also, Help! is not a ballad. I have heard “A Hard Day’s Night” done as a ballad, but I’m going out on a limb and saying that that girl is not Goldie Hawn.

Heh

Ben Revere has had an interesting day on twitter. Here’s his latest:

The awkward moment when your signing autographs for fans and a pretty girl walks by and your teammate goes, “what you think about her” and [y]ou go, “she’s a five star chick” and the dude in front of you hears you and goes, “well thank you that’s my daughter”

Brewers pull ahead

And all I can hear is the beer man on the radio.

By the way, did you know there are no beer men in California ballparks? You have to go up to the stands yourself.

by ColossusOfRhode on Oct 13, 2011 9:40 PM EDT reply actions

I have to anyway

none of the beer men have Summit.

by archie2227 on Oct 13, 2011 9:41 PM EDT up reply actions

EXACTLY

In the dome they used to sell Summit in the stands, but Target Field? NOOOOoooOOOO!

First time I went there

I was in a panic. Must have missed the nearest Summit stand so I kept going vendor to vendor seeing nothing but $7 crappy beers.

by archie2227 on Oct 13, 2011 9:43 PM EDT up reply actions

I generally sit in the Legends Club

They don’t make it very hard to find any type of alcohol. 3 giant bars and other various stands.

by archie2227 on Oct 13, 2011 9:47 PM EDT up reply actions

I sat in the Legends Club once (on your stubhub tip, I believe)

They make a better root beer float up there than they do downstairs. Orders of magnitude better.

by ColossusOfRhode on Oct 13, 2011 9:49 PM EDT up reply actions

Yep, that was me.

The nachos are better, too. The vegetarian chili actually has some spice to it. Oh, and the 32 oz margaritas are awesome.

by archie2227 on Oct 13, 2011 9:51 PM EDT up reply actions

I went back the next day for a game with my parents that had been planned way in advance

I was really sad when I got the root beer float downstairs and it wasn’t as epic as upstairs. They didn’t even give me the bottle of remaining root beer.

That was me paying face value for dugout box for their anniversary present months in advance. I was kicking myself.

by ColossusOfRhode on Oct 13, 2011 10:01 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, and they lost that game too

But we got Jim Thome wind up walkers… but Thome was already an Indian by that point.

by ColossusOfRhode on Oct 13, 2011 10:06 PM EDT up reply actions

I bought stub hub tickets to that game

Got my walker. GOT WASTED. Stole a second walker from this guy who always sits at the bar in the metro club.

I returned his later tho… During Thome’s first at bat back at Target Field as an Indian! Yeah I timed that.

Guinness is overrated

never understood why people think of it as some super dark beer. Sure, it looks dark, but it’s surprisingly mild.

No

2-2 pitch. Fielder barely checked his swing, but the pitch clipped the low, inside corner. All other pitches that AB had been up so I get it, but that pitch was too good to not be called strike 3.
