Twins buy 500 tickets to the other MN team in Championship
The Local Division 2 Soccer team, the Minnesota Stars, are playing in the championship finals for their league this Saturday in Blaine at the NSC. The Twins, Vikings, and Wild all bought tickets to give out to fans to go to the game.
All you have to do is contact the team for 2 free tickets, assuming they have some left.
Show up, and ask for me by name (handle) and I will probably have a free beer for you. If you're early enough to the tailgate, it will be a Surly.
"The Minnesota Twins organization congratulates the Minnesota Stars on a thrilling win over Carolina last week," said Twins president Dave St. Peter. "We ask fans across Twins Territory to get behind the Stars as they attempt to win the NASL title."
Fans can reserve a pair of tickets to the final match by calling (763) 792-7348 or emailing tickets@nscminnesota.com. There is a two-ticket limit per person. Tickets will be left at will call at the stadium on gameday. Fans can purchase additional tickets starting at $6 for youth general admission and $12 for adults. Reserved seats with chairbacks and on-field seats are also available.

Little bit of info
The Final is a bit unusual in this league, in that it’s a home-and-away total goals series. Hence, if the Stars win 2-0 at home and lose 0-3 away, they lose the final 2-3. The first leg is this Saturday, the next leg is the following weekend in Fort Lauderdale. I’m flying down to watch it.
What is this "soccer," of which you speak?
