It does suck
There’s a lot of good things I have to avoid.
Once every couple of months I eat a big thing of lasagna and let myself swell up because it’s so good. Also because I’m using my single data point to test the theory that if you occasionally expose yourself to your allergen, it won’t get worse.

I have heard the opposite... from doctors who research this stuff
In third world countries where they feed all the babies peanut butter as a nutritional supplement, no one is allergic to peanuts. In first world countries where parents are told to keep peanuts away from babies for the reason you just gave, peanut allergies are on the rise.
Also, on an anecdotal level, I’m allergic to dogs, but I get inured to my parents dog once I’ve been home for a few days.

better? and my shooting hoops is pretty strategic.. Bunnies for 15 minutes slowly going around the rim, layups (full sprints from the end of my drive way which is the same length as a basketball court) for a half hour, 10 minutes of free throws, and then a few minutes of three pointers, and then free shooting then a fast run around the block, then jog, then walk around the driveway for 5 minutes to cool down. My dorm was old and falling apart. We could do pretty much whatever we wanted… like build a robotic beertap in the wall behind the fire extinguisher. Saving for college is good
College loans now a days are a disaster and ruin a lot of lives. It is very sad. That bubble will probably burst soon though, just like the mortgage bubble, and then we will all be fucked.

yeah, I found out this summer that my parents never even started a college fund for me so I'm already pretty much f*ed over

It sucked a lot at the time but I couldn’t even remember it much by the time I got handed the huge ass settlement. Still living off the bad-boy, for the most part.

I don't really think he does.
The only reason anyone thinks Plouffe had a good bat was because it was compared to Nishi’s.
Nishi had an excuse for struggling. Plouffe has been around for a long time, and he STILL sucks.
Nishi was also a lot better on defense. I know he had as many errors as Plouffe, but Nishi also made a lot of plays Plouffe would never be able to make. Plouffe often just looked lazy out there.

Yeah
They are annoying.
Saw they on the news pleading in front of a city counsel to allow them to put up tents because “It’s cold and we need shelter from the elements.”
Uhhh… Then go home, Einstein.

There was something last week about them having tents up
Don’t really know if it is big or not.
"I learned something yesterday. No use in having rules if there's no punishment for breaking them. You'll be fine if you bite down on the trigger. Enjoy your breakfast."
They've banned camping in SF and Oakland
But people are doing it anyway. Based on what I just saw, something went down in Oakland today.

The tent issue was about police not being able to see inside.
So they started putting up clear tents. Haven’t heard about any issue with it since then.
They won't allow those either
I think it’s kinda dumb. It’s going to be so cold no one can stay outside all night anyway.
I ALSO think it’s dumb, because they are obvious Minneapolis-ites. They could easily come to St. Paul and protest in front of the actual capitol, but instead they protest outside of the Hennepin County Headquaters like a bunch of dumbasses.
"It happened in the moment, and it happened." - Carlos Gomez
I was born and raised in Minneapolis
I know live in St. Paul. I think it’s ridiculous how most Minneapolisites know next to nothing about St. Paul, and hate it for no good reason.

Yeah
Minneapolis people have a total irrational hate of St. Paul, even though most know very little about St. Paul.
I have noticed the long-term residents of both cities tend to stick to their side of the Mississippi.

by ColossusOfRhode on Oct 22, 2011 11:23 PM EDT up reply actions
True
It’s just odd, because St. Paul and Minneapolis are practically one city. But the amount the citizens refuse to interact is surprising to me.
One time, St. Paul and Minneapolis were in different time zones, LOL.
"It happened in the moment, and it happened." - Carlos Gomez
You find similar attitudes in, say, NYC
Especially with Brooklyners.
by spanspanspan on Oct 22, 2011 11:28 PM EDT up reply actions
Didn't seem the same to me
A lot of Brooklyners came to Manhattan daily, it seemed. Brooklyn was just more convenient to live in. Brooklynites still knew how to manage in Manhattan.
I mean, St. Paul people hardly know shit about Minneapolis, and vice versa. I can tell my neighbors about where Filio’s was in Uptown and hey have no clue what the hell I am talking about.

I've yet to hear a coherent message out of the protests
Anti-Wall Street? So, then what is your plan?
I think it’s a sign I’m getting old, but damn it, if you’re going to be pissed off at the status quo, you better show me your plan for the alternative.
