All True Twins Team

Over at Beyond the Box Score, I came up with a "True Twins" team. Basically, what is the best 25-man roster you can put together with players who have played for the Twins their entire career? 9 of the players are current Twins. A few players didn't quite make it because they weren't eligible, but I tried to give them a shout out at the end. Come on over and start a conversation about the team!

Active players shouldn't be eligible

This concept was discussed at Tango’s blog a while back. Cases like Killebrew are just too frustrating for this to make sense. That case is pretty common. Santo is another case. Sticking in this franchise, a guy like Sam Rice shouldn’t be DQ’d.

This franchise orginated in Washington

Therefore I think it is ok. Besides Walter Johnson is one of the best pitchers of his generation and the Yankees would have killed to have him on their roster.
