"Catching Hell": Great Bartman Documentary
(Don't bother clicking the link unless you want to see an ad. I wanted to pimp this documentary in a FanShot and you have to choose "Image," "Link," or what-not, so I chose "Link." But do check out the documentary.) On Xmas I watched a DVD of ESPN's "Catching Hell" with the SO, not a big sports fan, and we both loved it. It's about scapegoats in sports, like Steve Bartman and Bill Buckner, and it's really, really well done. The filmmaker, Alex Gibney, is skilled at interviewing and putting pieces of a mystery puzzle together, so even those who don't remember the drama of that Cubs/Marlins game can enjoy the movie. You baseball fans will eat it up, I promise. I got it on Netflix, but ESPN might show it again and you can always ask your local library to buy it. Highly recommended.
