Dan Wheeler Reaches Out to the Twins, Who Are at Their Holiday Party or Something.
Via SB Nation's Jeff Sullivan via Doogie!, the Red Sox reliever is looking for work. Two questions for you, Twins fan: 1. Does Wheeler do anything for you as a bullpen arm? 2. If the Twins aren't doing anything until next week, what in the Lund am I going to write about on Friday?

You could do some New Years Resolutions
Seriously, if Dan Wheeler wants to be with the Twins, we should let him do so.
I'm a proud fan of the Minnesota Twins and Dallas Cowboys!

I would like to see Dallas vs the Giants on Thanksgiving, Make it happen NFL!
I like Wheeler to pair with Duensing as 7th inning guys.
They would complement each other cheaply. I actually had him in my proposed roster for next season.
I'm fine with this.
His peripherals were better than his ERA showed last year.
FREE AIRWOLF!
ROHLFING!!!!!
No problem for me
Wheeler’s not a high end option, but he’d probably be better than many of our other arms. And given his ERA last year, he’d be pretty cheap.
Its frustrating to just watch Ben Cherrington and the Red Sox acquire Andrew Bailey so easily....
We could have competed with that offfer…
Trevor Plouffe, Deolis Guerra, Danny Rams, Tysuyoshi Nishioka?
done deal!
for Sweeney (Revere plattoon) and Bailey

that's definitely not as good of an offer
I write everywhere. You're probably better off following me on twitter
Also, a problem is...
that Sweeney also bats lefthanded, the same side as Revere. They couldn’t platoon with each other.

If any of these guys are cheaper...
Taylor Buchholz (hopefully he’s getting over his depression)
Todd Coffey
Brad Lidge (not likely cheaper)
Chad Qualls
Kerry Wood (probably going back to Cubs, though)
Michael Wuertz
… I would sign them before Wheeler. But he wouldn’t be a terrible signing. Only issue is that he’s really only good against righthanded hitters, and I could easily see Gardy using him against lefties more often than he should. Or they could sign Wheeler and then pursue Joel Zumaya with a minor league contract.

Zumaya
I’m guessing someone will give Zumaya a major league contract.
Lidge could be a bargain this year
Madson is looking like he asked for too much
His name doesn't start with a "J"
So… nope.
