With the Winter Meetings underway in Dallas, we will begin voting for our Top 50 Thursday afternoon.

I plan to make a couple small changes so this moves a bit more quickly this year. One is that we will have ties only if two or more players actually tie, ie, the same number of votes rather than a couple as in previous years. We need to decide if any tied players will fill the next two spots (assuming two are tied) or will the player who loses the runoff go back into the voting for the next round. Should they take the next two spots, as we did two years ago, I could continue voting on the next round the same day while a runoff is also being voted on. That would enable us to shorten this a bit and get done before early-February.
