With 126 of the 238 votes cast, Anderson Hidalgo won the run-off with Shooter Hunt for the Forty-Eighth spot in this year's poll.
Dropped from the next round will be Wander Guillen, Matt Hauser and Daniel Santana. Added will be Martire Garcia, Lance Ray, Jair Fernandez and Nate Hanson. Garcia was Elizabethton's leading winner last year at 6-0 with a 1.75 ERA. He also is the lone member of Seth Stohs' Top 30 who hasn't been voted in to our Top 50. Lance Ray was a 2010 eighth round pick who hit .314/.360/.414 in 70 at bats for Elizabethton before moving up to Beloit. He went on to hit a respectable .279/.377/.418 in 165 at bats for the Snappers. Jair Fernandez had his break-out year at New Britain where he hit .267/.326/.409. Nate Hanson also had a break-out year when the former Gopher led the Miracle with eleven home runs while hitting .254/.324/.385.
This round will remain open through 3pm, Tuesday, February 15th. Please get your votes in before that as voting following the cut-off will not be included as was the case when Matt Hauser received 64 of his 70 votes after Saturday's cut-off. This is also the last round before we begin voting for Prospect #50.
