Seems to be some projectability with this kid.
Seeing how tall he is for his age, and his weight makes me think that he will add some arm strength as he grows into his body. That 88-91mph fastball seems more likely to be in the mid 90’s. Plus he has some secondary pitches already? Another win for the Twin’s Int’l scouting department.
FREE AIRWOLF!
Me too
Especially since I know someone who is named Jorge and “hip, hip, Jorge” is how everyone greeted him in the hallway the entire year he was at our school.

Nice job Twins. Keep these international signings coming!
Looks pretty raw
But he is only 17. He’s got the size and the arm. Could be good in a few years.

Quantity's the thing
keep adding these young guys and a few of them are bound to make it. I’m really liking the Twins aggressiveness in the international area. Kudos to the FO and ownership.
Very intriguing.
The fact that he’s already got a semblance of secondary pitches is interesting. From what I’ve been reading that is not common. Add that in with his size and already decent velocity and you’ve got a nice high upside prospect, good job Twins.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
These are the kind of signings that make a ton of sense...
it’s like having extra draft picks. The risk is very low (you’re talking $500K or less in general) and the upside is still high. Makes a ton of sense.
yeah I like the Japaneese players less in recent years though
It almost seems like a bit of an outlier for the Twins, I hope they arn’t quite this agressive every year
I called it - Joe Mauer's first career Home-Run at Target Field !!!

would be awesome...
but I think he’ll cost too much.
I bet he ends up with the Yanks (rotation is still thin), BoSox (they have the Japanese inroads and he could essentially replace Dice-K’s money after 2012) or Mets (same as Yanks).
Iwakuma
They could make another play for Iwakuma while everyone else is considering Darvish.

could make sense...
but Darvish is supposed to be a 1 or a 2. Iwakuma is more likely a 4 or 5. The Twins have plenty of those. Really, we should only make a play for a starter next year if he’s a 1 or 2. Because right now we have a major logjam in 2012:
Liriano
Gibson
Baker
Wimmers
Slowey
Pavano
Duensing
Blackburn
And that’s not even considering:
Bromberg
Swarzak
Manship
You forgot Perkins!!!!
Hahahahahahahaha, I cant even say that with out laughing.
