Of course we all know Mauer is cool. Some of us even think he's dreamy. Others wish they could go ice fishing with him or play flag football with him. Could anyone want to go midnight bowling with Joe? Probably...

But I'm telling you if he keeps making these cool commercials and appearances on late night TV everyone is going to know that Joe Mauer is cool.

I should be ok with that. I mean I've learned to be fine with my favorite indy bands getting big (until their music starts to suck) but should I be ok with Joe going national? If he's nationally cool will they be talking about him on TMZ? Will he be some starlets date at the Oscars? GOD FORBID would he end up dating a Kardashian? I hear sports stars can actually order them online now!!!

But no, good for Joe. Enjoy the fame and show everyone that you can still be a good son of Minnesota. Show them that you don't have to wear FU sunglasses and talk about yourself in the 3rd person. It's so cool that Joe is on the cover of The Show again, that he's on late night, that he's still a Twin. Lucky you world, now you get to know that too.
