I've seen enough of Jim Hoey and Dusty Hughes. I've seen enough of Jeff Manship. How in the h e double hockey sticks in Dusty Hughes still getting the call in somewhat close games? The guy has never been a good MLB pitcher and we are keeping him in the bullpen instead of Slama? Why not give a young guy a shot instead of a 28 year old Lefty who offers no lefty on lefty advantage? I've never seen enough from Nick Blackburn to convince me he can be a reliable starter, why not call up Gibson? Don't tell me its too early. In an era where young guys like Latos, Chapman, Hernandez, Masterson, Miguel Pineda, Scherzer, Porcello have been given chances to succeed and some have, I think its time for our twins to pull the trigger with Gibson.
Many of you may be shaking your head and thats fine because I am speaking mostly out of frustration and not completely thinking everything through but I just feel this team needs a spark other than Rene Tosoni to get the fans and players excited again. Maybe bring Gibson up to make his debut the same night that Mauer comes off the DL? IDK just a thought. Anyways i added a poll and would love to see what Twinkie Town thinks.
