Almost..miss Punto


    The lousy play up the middle,and even worse, when they bat, wishing for the good old days, of a .250 hitter

that can play defense.  There have to be better options, than Tolbert. I don't believe he is part of the master plan, and

not a young enough, that we are pushing a guy out. He recently turned 29, with his batting average falling every year.  In 2008, he hit .283, but since .232, .230 and now .167. How much longer can he be carried on the roster? What is his role anymore? He can't be a bat off the bench, or even a defensive replacement. Even worse, they might put a pitcher in, as a pinch runner before him.       The bigger infield question is Alexi Casilla? What do we do with him? It would seem to work out better, if he was the guy on the bench, and can fill in, all around the infield, while also running for Thome/Kubel.   The catcher spot will be next...
