Huff Shines, Indians Down Twins 5-2 In Doubleheader Game One
The fans hid in the shade, trying to escape the 108-degree heat index. The Twins' bats went along for the hide, as Indians starter David Huff - making his first major-league start of the year - tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing just five hits. Asdrubal Cabrera hit a three-run homer off of a floaty changeup from Anthony Swarzak, part of a third inning in which Cleveland scored four and the Twins made two defensive mistakes.
Michael Cuddyer homered in the ninth to draw the Twins within 5-2, but by then it was too little, too late.
The game thread for the nightcap will be along in a few minutes, so let's ignore this one and move onto the night game.

What’s up with the green hats today? I must have missed the memo.

Was there
Was hot, was dead, was reborn, will go to nightcap, will not die, and will see Twins cut it back to 5.

Had to leave during the fifth inning. It was just too hot.
