He's a Cardinal Now

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is a really weird title for a fanpost that really needs an explanation. So I guess I'll explain it before I throw in the main part. I'm home sick with bronchitis/pneumonia and really wanted to talk to someone so I texted my friend's mom's fiance. For those of you who may have not heard this before, he is a delivery man who delivers dog food to Gardy's house on a regular basis. He's both a huge Twins fan and a Nick Punto fan. On the day Punto signed with St. Louis, he delivered to Gardy's house and jokingly said "Hey, and this season you should play Nicky Punto more often!!!" Gardy promptly slammed the door in his face.

So today I jokingly texted him saying if he delivered to Gardy's today that he should tell him his fiance's daughter's best friend is a huge Twins fan and she's sick so it would mean a lot if he could bring her a ball signed by four of her favorite players, Brian Duensing, Danny Valencia, Joe Mauer, and Ben Revere. His response was "Maybe, but first you have to write me a song about Nick Punto." So I took the song I was listening to at the time (She's Got A Boyfriend Now by Boys Like Girls) and turned it into "He's a Cardinal Now". Now he had better hold up his part of the deal... :P

And I totally don't mean to try to steal any of Randball Stu's thunder from his brilliant Champagne SuperTolbert by posting another song parody on the same day that he did, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this one too.
