Morneau: No symptoms since December
Lengthy Joe C article detailing the work Morneau has been doing in Arizona. Good read and good news.

Is it just me or is December not that long ago?
I mean, I’ll take the good news wherever it comes, but…

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too..

22 symptom-free days is great news
It sounds like his wrist is the bigger issue at this point. But he also has scar tissue from two other surgeries (knee and neck).

Odd note at the end about him cutting out sugars, gluten and dairy
I guess sometimes its not obvious figuring that out for yourself, but still…
Prediction:
Justin Morneau will be a vegan by the end of his career. He’ll get so used to the taste of soy- and rice-based dairy replacements that he’ll ultimately give up meat, poultry, and fish. Or, if he’s already eating a lot of fruits and veggies and drinking soy milk while downing Tofutti “ice cream” sandwiches, he’ll just gradually phase out meat products over time.
Someone get him in contact with Pat Neshek and Prince Fielder!
Prince says he eats nothing but vegetables
nothing but delicious deep fried vegetables stuffed with cheese
first-worst-first?

if the choice is between becoming a vegan and not playing anymore...
then he should just retire now. or heck, why even keep living?

not if he's a vegan...
because that also means he’s a commie.
:)
He can eat them with Silk (almond) or soy milk

That's gonna be rough
I assume Mauer’s house is made almost entirely out of Land O’ Lakes products, so this could strain the friendship.

But if going vegan means a longer career
So be it.

So far, its mainly wheat and dairy that Morneau has given up
I know this started as a fun tangent, but the article mentioned that his diet was mainly meat, rice, veggies and fruit now. Reminds me of a lot of asian food (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc).
I wonder if he's going to give up advertising $1-any-size soft drinks at McD's.

I wonder if that means no more maple syrup
