Twinkie Town 2012 Top 50...Round 22!
In a bit of a surprise, Logan Darnell captured a big win his first time on the ballot. Darnell received 104 of 307 votes (33%) with Madison Boer a distant second (57 votes). David Bromberg was third (33), Manuel Soliman fourth (29) and Deolis Guerra fifth with 25 votes.
Dropped from the next round will be JaDamion Williams. Added will be Scott Diamond and Daniel Santana. Diamond is the 2010 Rule V pick who the Twins traded for at the end of spring training. Diamond didn't shine at AAA before pitching effectively for the Twins late last year. Santana is an exciting young player who had been a shortstop prior to seeing time in center for Beloit last summer. The 20 year old native of the Dominican Republic hit for a .247 average with seven home runs and 24 stolen bases in 365 at bats for the Snappers.
On deck are Nate Roberts, Jairo Perez and Matt Summers. Who do you believe should have been included by now? This round will remain open through noon tomorrow, Wednesday. Beginning Thursday, the poll will close each day in the early evening.

I've been voting for Soliman, but went with Boer
They both deserve to be on the board, so why split the vote. Wasn’t there another draftee from last year with high K rate, Carter or Williams or Summers or something? Maybe should be considered.
I will vote Soliman next, and then Guerra. I’m surprised how many sour grapes are still associated with the Santana trade. Sure, Guerra hasn’t developed into a starter, but I think he profiles as a pretty good relief prospect—one who should reach the majors this year.
Boer, yet again
Don’t understand how Darnell ran away with the last spot but whatever.
"I learned something yesterday. No use in having rules if there's no punishment for breaking them. You'll be fine if you bite down on the trigger. Enjoy your breakfast."
Add Matt Hauser
He had a great season last year – hard to argue with the numbers strike outs to innings pitched, saves and era. Between 3 stops at Beloit, Ft Myers & NB.
Voted Boer
Should consider last year’s #3 Corey Williams pretty soon. Young, only 20, was considered a hard sign – we paid him double the slot amount. Throws pretty hard and, if you google it, you’ll see he’s really, really tough.
Looks like Boer this round
I’m waiting to see what happens with Pugh,Hauser,Watts and Boer. All three could be at AA at the same time. So who’ll be the closser?
Am struggling when to bring Pugh into the voting, if at all?
…He was a failure at AA last year (demoted back to Ft. Myers) and then in the AFL. Watts was better, while Hauser had an excellent year. Expect Boer goes off the table today at #22, which is about right in my opinion.
the twins invited 25 to S.T.
here’s my take. None of the four mention were invited. Catcher Rams got skipped for Rohlfing and Lehmann is still around. OF- Hick or Martin not invited. As far as pitcher-Bromberg,DeVried,Popham,Slama,Stuif or Turpen were not invited. I find it hard to consider some of these guys prospects if they aren’t invited to S.T. except for Stuif or Bromberg because they will need some starters at the AAA level S.T.

You have a point
If your previous season was at AA or higher and you aren’t invited to spring training it is a mark against you.
locker space
There are only so much room down in Fort Myers Major League facility. There were a lot of free agent invites, most of whom will not even go to AAA, they will just be let go. If one of the guys you mentioned looks good in the minor league facility, they make lot’s of starts with the Major league club in ST, Like Revere and Garza did in years past.
"I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?"
I expect Boer
To.be a starter at Fort Meyers next year
