Twinkie Town Top 50...Round 26!
We had 466 votes in the last round, in part due to being open longer than normal because I have been traveling. The winner of round 25, with 126 votes (27%) was B. J. Hermsen. Nate Roberts was second (107), Deolis Guerra third (61), Lester Oliveros fourth (50) and Tyler Robertson fifth with 27 votes.
Added to the next round will be an exciting young starter who was the Ace of the GCL Twins staff last summer, Angel Mata. Although he seldom was allowed to pitch over four innings, Mata had an excellent 1.46 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in eleven starts (37.0 innings) with 30 strikeouts. Mata, who was eighteen, followed up on his excellent rookie season a year earlier in the DSL where he had a 2.12 ERA.
This round will remain open until Tuesday evening. Please let me know in the comments section who you would like to see added to coming rounds.

Agree with Lester
IMHO- he’s got more upside then Guerra. I have a hard time going with older guys at A-Beloit, like Summers when a younger guys like Guerra is at AAA. Also, Dean will be the same age as Summers at AA.

Not just upside
Oliveros has had better results than Guerra. Guerra has had a really hard time getting past AA. Oliveros made it to the big leagues.
I'd like to see Grimes (SS-5th round pick) added next round.
He’ll be 22 on 7-3-12. His numbers-5D,4T,5Hr’s,.722OPS at Beloit. I think he’ll start at FTM with Michael, with a shot to get to AA.
Come on Oliveros! You can do it...
I want to vote for someone else! :-)
"I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?"
