I was a diehard twins fan. Watching every game in the seasons past. But I thought once we got the new stadium and additional revenue. We would set our sights a bit higher. As for pitching, I had hoped we could target an Edwin Jackson or Ryan Dempster or some of the other strikeout pitchers. But both pitchers signed reasonable contracts IMO. Instead we shopped in the bargain bin again as years past when we were in the Metrodome. I thought there would be some change. But instead it's the same old, same old low strikeout MLB pitchers for about $5M a year. Yes we acquired some higher strikeout pitchers via a trade. Then reverted back to the past with some meteoric signings. (I feel, I am talking about President Obama, but anyhow). Feel free to share your thoughts as well.
