Big League Stew's 10 Best Things About Being a Twins Fan
Lindsay Guentzel, MLB Fan Cave finalist, makes her list. I think I like Brady Eyestone's better -- how can Guentzel fail to mention any current players?! But kudos to the addition of the Tony O's Cuban.

Thanks a lot.
Lindsay’s list was pretty awesome, actually.
Here’s my list:
1. The glory. I was not here, but I have heard countless tales of Twin Cities’ people celebrating en masse after our championships.
2. The stars. Puckett, Killebrew, Carew, Oliva, Hrbek, Blyleven et al.
3. The supporting casts. Kaat, Santana, Hunter, Stewart, Landreaux, Ford et al.
4. The eras. Our 50 year history is neatly divided
a. 60s. Lots of spice, Great hitting. Pretty great pitching at the end of the decade.
b. 70s. Rod Carew, trying hard on a budget. The end of the Met.
c. 80s. The Dome, Gaetti, Hrbek, Reardon, Puckett, World Series.
d. 90s. The lull, Minnesotans Winfield, Steinbach and Molitor return
e. 00s. Return of winning and the new Twins Way.
f. 10s. Outdoor baseball! Mauer & co.
5. The Met. Home of one World Series. Top-notch tailgating. Better than the Mall of America.
6. The Humptydump. Home of two World Series, Puckett, Hunter, Game 163.
7. Target Field: Glorious.
8. The Central Division: God bless the Midwest.
9. True Twins fans. All in, everywhere.
10. Live major league baseball. Top flight ballplayers competing, 50 years worth.
You guys should jump on my back tonight. I'm going to carry us.
I liked it.
I agree with her about Gardy, he’s got to be at least in the top 5, if not #1 in managers getting ejected. Always cathartic and entertaining.
She forgot The Twins Way™, or The Twins Play Baseball the RIght Way™, well, at least they used to…
"Don't take life for granted, because tomorrow isn't promised to any one of us." -Kirby Puckett
"Tell Gardy there's nobody around to protect him now." Ozzie Guillen
