Twinkie Town Pre-Season Player of the Year!
Today we will begin voting on who we believe will be selected as the 2012 Player of the Year by the Twins this fall. It is important to note that we are voting on who we think will have a great season and be selected by the Twins for this annual award, which is different than voting on who we think is the organization's top prospect.
Voting will remain open until Friday evening. If you are looking for a brief description of each player, please take a look at last Saturday's Minor League Report. I will review the most likely candidates for Pitcher of the Year on Saturday and then we will vote next Tuesday.
If you voted for other, please let us know in the comments section who you are thinking could have a big break-out season.

Tough one
I went with Rosario, because I think he can follow up on last year’s campaign.

I'm going with Goodrum
This seems like an exercise in pure speculation, but he showed some improvement last year, and I think this will be the year where he breaks out and shows off his considerable talents.
Someone not spending the season in Beloit
That place is death for hitters.
3s and Free Throws. 3s and Free Throws. 3s and Free Throws.

I went with Hicks
This is the year he puts it all together.

+1
He was pretty good in June/July last year – posting something like a .900+ OPS. And then he hurt his thumb and never really got back on track til the AFL. I think it’ll “click” for him sometime next year and he’ll shoot up prospect rankings.
Agreed
And I hope he does put it all together.
Things could be worse. Suppose your errors were counted and published every day, like those of a baseball player.
I hope it is Hicks
Also wouldn’t be surprised if it is Rosario if he does well @ 2nd and continues to hit.
Went with Levi Michael
Go with the 1st round pick
Arcia
Hopefully a bunch of guys are in consideration, but I see him having a great year, moving up a level or two.
