Good people of Twinkie Town, we at Border Rivals noticed a little outcry and discontent with the impolite way in which we tried to share our Twins-related content at BR. For that, we are truly sorry. The numerous points that were made suggesting, sometimes in less than flattering terms (a-hem), that we get to know the TT community prior to shamelessly plugging Twins related content hit home like a Glenn Perkins fastball (circa 2011).

We intend to do just that moving forward, making sure that we do our best to comment on other threads and articles that appear in TT. Though, we hope that a Pandora's box has not been pried open and that our participation in said threads is well received. We do not claim to be experts in this and are still fairly new at the whole blog concept. Evidently, ignorance is not just bliss.

Finally, we will refrain from inserting yet another shameless plug about BR's recent piece on the demise of Frankie K. Instead, we will close by saying that the current state of the Twins pitching staff has us very worried. While we appreciate the fact that every pitcher in the starting rotation is a grinder, a guy who can (and likely will) give 3 or 4 runs and still go 7 innings, the lack of a true ace is truly frustrating. Not since the days of Senor Santana have the Twinks had that guy who, every 5th game you thought, yep, we are going to get this one. Can anyone say Mark Appel with our 1st round pick??
