Inge, whose days have finally come to an end in Detroit, was hitting .100/.100/.300 at the time of his release. Throughout his career he's developed a reputation as a plus fielder, racking up over 8000 innings at third base, more than 3000 innings behind the plate, and contributing at all outfield positions. This year, for the first time in his career, he was playing second base.
