Just got back from the Beloit vs Cedar Rapids single-A game. Managed to get 2 2/3 innings in before it was suspended due to the rain. Beloit was up 2-1 at the time.
Rosario was not in the line-up, but was in the first row behind home plate so was able to get a good view of Sano. Sano is well-built at 6-3 and just looking at him he jumps out at you. In his only at-bat that I managed to see he grounded out to short on a 3-2 count while bringing in the runner from third. He does have a long swing, but he sees the ball well and stayed off of a couple of close pitches on the outside. One at-bat is a very small sample size and was bummed that I did not get to see more.
On a positive note (for me at least) the ticket can be redeemed for another at a game of my choice so I'll probably see those of ya who are coming down for the Cedar Rapids-Beloit series in June.
