Good news as been hard to find this year, so I am sticking with this.
Congrats to the new Manager of the Red Wings as the team with an ever changing rotation / roster has climbed to above .500. After a horrid start the jackals of the Rochester NY media piled on and the FO threw the Twins under the bus and forced a ridiculous schedule to accommodate the Yankees. But the team stuck to it and dealt with the adversity of losing pitchers, being saddled with rejects like Luke French and Maloney. They did not pack it in and instead found a grove and worked themselves out of the hole.
They probably won't challenge for the playoffs, and its likely they will fall back as they play more games against better teams. Their division is tough with Affiliates of the Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox and Mets. But for now the Manager can take look at the standings and take pride in how he kept the team focused on winning and improving,
