I feel Drew has been lost in the shuffle this year. He is hitting .242 with an OPS of .669. Obviously not stellar, but better than what we have come to expect. As a matter of fact, his numbers this year are downright solid for a defensive backup catcher. With 5 doubles and a home run in 62 AB, he has even shown a little bit of pop in his bat as well. He has shown improvement, and is now displaying some level of competence as far as his hitting goes. Add that to the fact that he is a great defensive catcher, and the conclusion is the Butera hate needs to go away.
