Josh Willingham injured himself jumping against the outfield fence last night so he is not in the lineup. He is scheduled to get an MRI whenever the magic 8 ball gives the Twins medical staff the go-ahead.
Your starting pitchers:
Twins
Esmerling Vasquez has been okay, but generally starts to struggle his second time through the lineup. He gave up three earned runs on six his in 5.2 innings in his last outing against Cleveland. Hopefully tonight he completely stupefies Yankee hitters and miraculously throws a no hitter. Keep your fingers crossed.
Yankees
Phil Hughes faced the Twins once this year, back on April 19 when he gave up two earned runs on six hits over 5.1 innings pitched. Hopefully tonight he gives up a grand slam home run to Ben Revere and the Twins go on to a 19-0 shutout victory.
