Today, the Minnesota Twins start a series against the Chicago White Sox on the South Side. It’s Samuel Deduno against Hector Santiago. The first pitch is thrown at 6:10 PM, and it will be televised on FSN North, and broadcasted ESPN 1500.
In Samuel Deduno’s last start, he was dominating, as he cruised through an outstanding 7 innings. He struck out 9, and gave up only 2 hits. But, the important part of that start is the number of walks he issued. It was a big, fat, goose egg. Deduno is going to look to duplicate that start tonight against the Pale Hose.
This will be Hector Santiago’s first start of his Major League career. He has pitched exclusively out of the bullpen and has pitched quite well, striking out 53 in 53.2 innings pitched. He has held opposing hitters to a .205 batting average this year. I haven’t seen lineups for either team yet, so when they are out, someone will post them! Enjoy the game everybody!
