In a move that's been desired and rumored for a number of years, the Minnesota Twins have added Paul Molitor to their Major League coaching staff. Molitor will become the seventh coach for the team, and will be asked to oversee a number of roles.
The #MNTwins have added Hall of Famer Paul Molitor to their coaching staff. He will oversee baserunning/bunting/infield instruction

Infield instruction will also include "positioning", and it's also said he'll assist with in-game strategy from the dugout.
Molitor has coached in different capacities, mostly for the Twins, in the past. Here's a quick run-down:
- Twins coach with Tom Kelly (2000-2001)
- Twins minor league base running and infield coordinator (2003)
- Mariners hitting coach (2004)
- Twins minor league base running and infield coordinator (2005 - 2013)
Wow, so stoked to see Molitor join our staff! He's one of the most knowledgable baseball men I've ever met.
