So many people on the boards don't like Ron Gardenhire and they often mention Joe Maddon as the ideal manager - a guy who embraces shifts and statistics and platoons and all that good stuff. So I have a question . . . Let's pretend that the Twins are going to trade managers with the Rays but need to include a player/propspect (or prospects) in order to do the deal. What prospect would you give up? Some clarifications on the scenario: (1) You're not trading the whole front office. Terry Ryan and Andrew Friedman both stay in their positions with their respective philosophies. (2) You can assume that Maddon would have the same influence that Gardy does as far as player selection goes. So he can platoon but he has to have the ability to convince TR to get him the pieces he wants. (3) To make things a bit easier, each coach brings along his bench coach and pitching coach but leaves all others (hard to see Gardy without Anderson or Maddon without his bench coach Dave Martinez so we're throwing them in.) Bruno and Scotty Ulger stay. So are who you willing to give up???
