This kid has been absolutely tearing the cover off the ball since he joined the organization and he's white hot so far in spring training. Am I being irrational to think he could make the team this year? Maybe I'm getting so desperate for a middle infielder that can hit that I'm spouting nonsense on here. His defense probably isn't up to par for a major league second baseman, but I feel that his bat can more than make up for it and in close late inning situations Carroll or Florimon could be brought in as a defensive substitution.
