Better late than never is my theme here as I've been back from Florida for a few days and I'm finally sorting through pictures. The first game I've gotten uploaded was the very first Twins spring training game of 2013 in Sarasota. I should have been attending this game with my mom, but alas she broke her wrist the first night of our trip at my cousin's house in northern Florida. Instead I dropped her at the airport the morning of this game, did a fantasy draft and headed north to Sarasota.
The trip usually takes you up I-75 as do most trips in the Grapefruit League, but my GPS was being creative and started me out on US-41. I snapped this shot on the bridge between Fort Myers and North Fort Myers. It was a bit warm but a gorgeous day.
The Orioles play at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota. It's a more urban setting than Hammond in Fort Myers, but it's been remodeled and is one of my favorites I've visited in my spring training adventures.
The Twins lost the game 5-3, but Hammer hit his first home run of the spring in his second at bat and I got to see Rosario before he went off to join his WBC team.
Full set of pictures is posted on Flickr.
More to come as I get them all sorted and posted.
