Okay, here's the forecast from the National Weather Service:
...WINTER STORM NOW IMMINENT LATER TODAY INTO TONIGHT... ...PROJECTED HEAVY SNOW BAND SHIFTS NORTH AND INTENSIFIES... .LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TO SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM THE SOUTHWEST TODAY...WHICH WILL BECOME ALL SNOW THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. A PERIOD OF HEAVY SNOW IS FORECAST FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY OVERNIGHT WITHIN 40 MILES OF A LINE FROM NEW ULM...TO THE TWIN CITIES METRO...TOWARD HAYWARD WISCONSIN. A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THOSE AREAS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE LIKELY AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALSO POSSIBLE IN THE MAIN HEAVY SNOW BAND. TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 9 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ALONG THAT LINE...WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS FROM THE TWIN CITIES METRO AND NORTHEAST.
That's just patently ridiculous. In other words, tonight's game is ppd, thundersnow.
Anyway, the two teams are now scheduled for a day-night doubleheader tomorrow, with game 1 at 1:10pm and game 2 at 7:10 pm. I'm not sure how that's going to work, given that it's going to be 43 degrees tomorrow with a foot of snow on the ground, but I guess I'm not in charge of Target Field.
In conclusion, this state is stupid.
